Welcome!

Dear participants,

My name is Andres Traslavina and I am a consultant who has been asked to conduct a two-hour training program for the student services staff at Metropolitan Community College.

As MCC is making a clear commitment to its own professional growth and development, I hope that you will see this two-hours as a valuable opportunity to communicate with each other and to build relationships that will make you feel cohesive and united in purpose.

After completing this cross-cultural communication training program, participants will be able to:

Explain the concept of cross-cultural communication.
Explain the difference between high context and low context cultures.
Apply learned communication styles to cultures similar in context.
List five different non-verbal communication techniques used to effectively communicate with Latino employees.
Demonstrate the use of non-verbal cross-cultural techniques.
Demonstrate the use of cross-cultural conflict resolution techniques.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and I look forward to working with you.
